NEW Class! Thursday Gentle Lunch Yoga

We’re delighted to announce a new addition to our daytime classes – a beautiful, gentle, Thursday lunch class.

Our lovely colleague Karen Rennie will be taking this gentle, tension & stress-releasing lunch class starting on Thursday 4 September, 1230-1330

We look forward to welcoming you on the mat for gentle, happy lunchtime yoga!


Pregnancy Yoga Break for 2 weeks

Hello pregnant yogis!

Our lovely Mischa is on holiday this Friday through to next, and we have unfortunately been unable to find anyone to cover the class for yo – so there is no pregnancy yoga class this evening, Friday 8 August, nor next week Friday 15 August.

Class will be back on Friday 22 August as normal.

Morning Mysore Update

Schedule change: Doors open 5:45am, teaching is from 6:30-8:30.

Morning Mysore Sundays – begin August 3 from 7-9 am, sutra chanting 9-9:30!

Sarah Hatcher will be returning to teaching on Friday 1 August

Upcoming Beginner’s Mysore Intensives: 2-5 pm – 10 August, 7 September, 5 October, 2 November, 7 December.

Friday morning Vinyasa Practice now 1030-1130

Emma’s lovely and powerful Friday morning Vinyasa Practice classes are now going to run 1030 – 1130.

Come along and spend an hour doing a beautiful Vinyasa practice based on the incredibly wise and profound teachings of the grandfather of yoga – Krischnamacharya.

Using subtle, but very powerful and precise posture and breathwork you will strengthen your physical, mental and emotional body as well as release tension from all those levels of your being.

Thursday Lunch class taking a break

Steve’s Thursday lunchtime class is now no longer happening as Steve is moving on to travel and promote his book!

We wish him all the best for his future endeavors.

The Thursday lunch class may resume in the coming weeks or months with a new teacher.

Morning Mysore Update!

! Mysore Program Update !

During the week of 26-30 of May, the studio will be open to students with existing practices at 5:45 am. Instruction will begin at 6:30 am with the Mysore Assistants: Denise, Gills, and Sue will be teaching.

Wednesday, the 28th of May is a Moon Day so the studio will not be open.

Starting the 2nd of June, Susan Reynolds will be covering the Morning Mysore program while Sarah is away on maternity leave. Susan is a talented teacher and dedicated Ashtanga practitioner and will be in Aberdeen through the end of July. Please continue to nourish yourselves and your practices by coming regularly; keep your inner devotion to the practice and to your health strong by continuing to take your practice. Sarah looks forward to seeing you all when she returns!

Meet Guest Yoga Teacher, Susan Reynolds

Susan, also known as “Wee Yogi”, is passionate about holistic health and yoga. Since beginning Ashtanga Yoga in 2002, she has studied with various teachers from around the world namely, Dena Kingsberg, Shiva Rea (Vinyasa), and Sarah Hatcher. Susan is a qualified Ashtanga Yoga Instructor: her passionate, fun and challenging teaching style comes from her own experience of yoga which continues to teach her about patience and acceptance. These daily lessons have brought her closer towards understanding the essence of yoga. Susan’s unique teachings offer students practical tools on how yoga may bring about self realisation and full awareness of the mind and body.

Susan is enthusiastic about raw food – particularly green juices and raw chocolate! She is a qualified massage therapist, and has an extensive background in nutrition, detoxification and holistic regeneration.
