Prenatal Yoga

Yoga is by far and away the most popular exercise routine for pregnant women. It's fun, generally speaking:) and it allows you to meet with other mums-to-be in a safe, and relaxed environment. Most women really appreciate this aspect of the class, and many stay in contact with each other after their babies are born.

The classes consist of a well-balanced, strengthening and relaxing mix of exercises chosen to meet the needs of pregnant women and their babies. Women at all stages of pregnancy are welcome. Postures are modified trimester by trimester.

YOGA STRETCHES - The full pregnancy yoga class works out your whole body. Supported squats  strengthen and open the hips, whilst pregnancy sun salutations, work and stretch all the major muscle groups.  The  routine will also help improve your blood circulation, particularly to your  uterus.

BREATHING EXERCISES
- Deep breathing can help you manage pain more effectively. Deep, controlled breathing is well-known as a way to help you relax. Conscious deep breathing is also used as a techniques to manage your contractions, helping you time your pushes with your natural breathing cycle.

MEDITATION
-  meditation can help you relax. We also use special meditation techniques and visualisations  to help you connect with your growing baby, and develop positive qualities.
