The Thursday lunch class will resume as of May with our lovely Emma guiding you through beautiful, blissful practises to stretch out, release tension, gently strengthen your body and increase your flexibility.
Emma is a yoga teacher and yoga therapist with a skill for gently, kindly easing you into the subtle transformative power of breath-led yoga practices.
This is a 45 minute class from 12.15pm to 1pm and costs £6, or £5 concession.
for now the Mysore program is in sleeping mode. We’ll restart it in June, one way or the other:))

The last regular opening, until June, of the Mysore program sessions will be March 15th and after that I will open the studio on Tuesdays and Thursdays (21/23/28/30 March & 4/6/11/13 April) from 7-8.30am for a Self Practice, no teaching or adjustments, other than if you ask and someone, maybe not me, will come and help. There will be copies of the Primary and Second Series as memory aids available, but since Yoga is about awareness and Self-Inquiry through the body and breath, you can come and explore any aspect of your Yoga Practice, be it Ashtanga or other Hatha. No monies involved, donations are welcome, not necessary.
In June we have Charlie Grange taking the Mysore Program and more details will follow when we have created them
As of today, well, really a bit already last week, we will explore some aspects of chakra ‘work’ during the Yin Yoga on Wednesdays or as part of a meditation at the end, as feels apt there and then:))
For those of you that think that they do not know about the chakra system: chakra, the word, means disk or wheel, in other words it implies something that is spinning or rotating. Different systems of Chakra work have different understandings as to how these disks might be spinning, I work with the experience of them spinning alternately clockwise or anti-clockwise. Working with them is a tool, an exploration into being more complete in our human experience, by which I mean: grounded, centred, clear, loving, knowing what I want, having some forms of insight and dreams as to how life might be lived in a more happy way. Its easy and your immune system will like it too!!
Dear Yoginis and Yogis
on Wednesday 15th March I will open the doors for the Mysore sessions for the last time. I have held this for long enough and I thank everyone who attended dover the last 4 years, since Sarah Hatcher started it,
AND – watch this space as Charlie Grange will move back to Aberdeen and then we’ll open those doors for the Mysore (and Freedom Yoga) sessions again. She trained with Sarah, whilst she was here and then also with Matthew Sweeney. We will focus not only on the Ashtanga Sequences, but also introduce Moon Sequences for the days when energy or motivation are harder to come by. Its more than a fall-back, its more like following the wisdom of the body/mind and doing Yoga appropriately and intelligently to your energy and physical or mental condition. She will start with us either sometime this summer or in the autumn.
In the meantime: I am occasionally going to announce and Open Early Morning Studio, where you can come and practice Ashtanga or other forms from 7am – 8.30am, no adjustments other than if you might ask a friend next to you to help, no monies involved (perhaps donations if you want to).
